Maybe if they'd gone the opposite way, and pumped it full of guitars - we'd have got a similar result on the other end of the spectrum. The Faint are laid upon the big name DJ autopsy table to be re-organed, re-synthed and re-vamped for the digestion of your average clubbing goon.

The remix of 'Conductor' by the one and only Jaques Lu Conte (aka The white Duke) is re-arranged stylishly - this is his territory after all - so no surprise there. But hang on, Paul Oakenfold gets to **** with 'Glass Danse' one of the best tracks on the album. It is in fact quite good, so you can be safe in the knowledge he hasn't drenched every chord with housey arse-batter. Tommy Sunshine has managed to bless 'Let the Poison Spill From Your Throat' with beefed up synths and an incredibly hard beat, sprinkled with the odd sample here and there. Did you like the song 'Posed to Death'? Well, The Modulators have managed to transform it into a lump of repetitive crap, they've ignored the song completely - just using the second part of the chorus over and over again. Yippee. This album ain't that bad though, it's more suited to a DJs collection than anything else, but if you don't want it to sound completely different from the original, don't waste your money.
